Do you require the services of a glass restorer in Le Sablon, Brussels or elsewhere? Whether you are a collector of glass or crystal objects such as chandeliers, Murano sculptures, stemware, Lalique perfume bottles or Swarovski crystal, we can restore any glassware.
Restoration of the scrapyard itself
The restoration of glassware is very delicate and can sometimes be slightly visible in the light. The repair is done by infiltration of materials, resins, polymers with a syringe or a brush. The reproduction of glassware is done by moulding with the same material.
Restoration of the colour
In order to colour the glass, pigments or minerals are added to the resin. The transparency of the glass or its matt appearance will be obtained by polishing or frosting the piece to be restored. Finally, it is also possible to repair gilding or painting.
Each project is unique and requires a well-defined restoration expertise, the secret of which we hold.
How can you tell the difference between crystal and glass?
Although both crystal and glass are mostly transparent, one shines much more brightly than the other: crystal. When exposed to sunlight, it glitters, while glass does not.
Crystal seems more fragile, but it has lead. And because it has undergone more treatment than glass, it is also thinner.
